What is Alibaba?
Alibaba is a Chinese company formed by companies operating in different sectors, from payment platforms (Alipay), search engines for shopping to cloud service (Alibaba Cloud).
however, the company is famous more than anything else to own 2 platforms, one entitled Alibaba and another Taobao that work as Amazon in which you put on the site the object you want to buy and if there is insert the way to get it and here done.
All companies can sell their products on Alibaba as long as their main or secondary office is in China. So is still remains very difficult for small and medium non-Chinese companies to enter this platform.
This is another subsidiary company that is in charge of providing services in the cloud service, ie coucturing electronic equipment (hardware) and making it available to others for payment. For example, if you want to create a website, you will need this equipment to make the site work. Alibaba Cloud had just opens 2 new data centers in UK despite to the no treaty agreement for brexit.
The plan is to expand into the EMEA area, ie Europe, Middle East and Africa. This isn’t the first data center in EMEA area and in the world, there are too in:

The company started to develop his business too outside of China in 2009, to challenge with th big of the sector, like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Corp and Alphabet Inc. In 2016-2017 the rank is so:

Launched in 2004, the most used mobile payment platform in all of China (622 million users). It was initially created to facilitate transactions on the Chinese site Taobao (type Amazon) and managed to detonate the fashion of the use of online payments, at that time not very widespread.
